Panel Upgrades

We replace outdated panels so your electrical system can handle modern demands safely.

A panel upgrade replaces your home's main electrical panel with a new one that handles more circuits and higher amp capacity. We pull permits, do the inspection, and handle all the work to code. Most homes in Texas need this when they're adding AC units, electric heat, or just running out of breaker space after years of additions.

The job usually takes a full day. We shut off power to the house, disconnect the old panel safely, install the new one, and reconnect all your circuits. We run new wire from the meter if needed and make sure everything passes the city inspection before we leave. Hot Texas summers mean your air conditioning demand is real, and an undersized panel can't handle it.

You get a panel that won't trip breakers when you run the dryer and AC together. Your home gets proper grounding and surge protection. You'll have spare capacity for future upgrades without another expensive panel swap. And you'll pass any home inspection or insurance review without issue.

What's included: New main electrical panel installed to current code; Permit and city inspection included; All circuit breakers transferred or upgraded; New meter base if required by inspection; Testing and verification of all circuits.

Questions

Panel Upgrades — FAQ

How long does a panel upgrade take?

Most jobs finish in one day. We schedule the inspection for the next business day, and once it passes, you're done. If your meter base needs replacement, add a few hours.

Will I lose power during the upgrade?

Yes, the whole house goes dark while we swap the panels. Plan for 4 to 6 hours without power. We work fast and get the inspection done quickly so you're back online same day or next morning.

Do I need a permit for this work?

Yes. We pull the permit and handle the inspection fee. It protects you and your home, and it's required by code in Texas.
